Code Of Conduct

Professional Integrity

  • Members shall conduct their business and interactions with honesty, transparency, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Misrepresentation of services, credentials, or affiliations is strictly prohibited.

Respectful Conduct

  • Members shall maintain respectful and courteous behaviour in all association activities, events, FAM trips or meetings, and communications (offline and online). Disrespectful, defamatory, or aggressive conduct during association activities, events, FAM trips or meetings — including on social media or messaging groups — is not acceptable and may lead to warnings, suspension, or termination of membership, as deemed appropriate by the Managing Committee after due process.
  • Members shall refrain from personal attacks or spreading misinformation against fellow members or the Managing Committee.

Commitment to Responsible Tourism

  • Members shall promote ethical and sustainable tourism practices, including cultural sensitivity, environmental responsibility, and local community engagement.
  • Misuse of tourism resources or promotion of unsafe/illegal practices is discouraged.

Participation & Representation

  • Members shall actively contribute to the goals and programs of the association and represent the association in a manner that upholds its values.
  • No member shall make public statements or commitments on behalf of the association unless duly authorised in writing by the Managing Committee.

Financial Discipline

  • Members shall ensure timely payment of membership dues, levies, or any fees as applicable.
  • Any pending dues may affect voting rights, participation in events, Meetings, FAM Trips or access to membership benefits.

Confidentiality

  • Members shall maintain the confidentiality of association documents, discussions, and decisions, unless officially released for public circulation.

Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes among members or with the Managing Committee should be raised respectfully and resolved internally through dialogue or designated grievance mechanisms.

Compliance with Association Constitution

  • All members shall abide by the association’s constitution, by-laws, and any rules or resolutions passed by the Managing Committee.

Disciplinary Action

  • Any violation of this Code may lead to warnings, suspension, or termination of membership, as deemed appropriate by the Managing Committee after due process.

All members are expected to acknowledge and adhere to this Code of Conduct as a condition of their continued membership.
